About Us
At the heart of the Farmyard at Jukani is a message of Education, where kids learn about Farm animals.
Currently around 67% of South Africans live in Urban communities. Farming and the animals that are found on a farm are about just as unknown to children living in these areas as wild animals. At the heart of the Farmyard at Jukani is a message of Education, where kids learn about Farm animals whilst actually experiencing and seeing these animals.
The Farmhand at Jukani will entertain whilst educating the youngsters taking them to see the Pygmy Goats, Mini-Horses, Alpacas, Turkeys, Chickens and more.
The Farmyard is the perfect place for your farm birthday.

In 1658, John Amos Comenius published Orbis Pictus, the world’s first picture book for children. He knew then what we still know today: there is a magic in the connection between a child and a farm animal. From the “quacketh” of a duck to the “blaiteth” of a lamb, these stories have been the building blocks of our vocabulary, our social skills, and our understanding of the world for centuries. The Farmyard is its hands-on educational sanctuary that brings 400 years of children’s literature to life, blending expert-led childcare with authentic animal interaction.
