Marilyn’s 60’s Diner in Storms River Village

Marilyn’s 60’s Diner is an experience of note, with its Cadillac’s and Chevy’s, neon rimmed signage, 50 and 60’s decor, and Elvis and Marilyn memorabilia.

The Diner itself forgoes no detail from the checkered floors to the red and white colour scheme, juke box and sugar shakers. Like the classic diner of the movies this restaurant serves everything from breakfast, cakes and milkshakes to All American cocktails, burgers, dogs-with-a-difference and diner style desserts.

Marilyn’s 60’s Diner offers the ideal venue for private functions, birthdays and other casual get-togethers. This Diner is the perfect venue for a 50’s and 60’s party, with juke box music and our fabulous classic cars and motorbikes. So put on your blue suede shoes and prepare to rock and roll with us.

Set in the quaint village of Storms River, this is a diner with so many twists that I’m not really sure I can even convey how unique it is. The Marilyn’s 60s Diner is really an anomaly: this isn’t where you’d expect to find it at all.

The Owners are Chris and Irma. The love and passion poured into the quirky little spot show themselves in every corner here with posters, album covers, statuettes and other bits of memorabilia scattered about. Oh yes, and of course, the stereotypical pink cadillac parked in the middle of it all.

Originally this building was a show car garage, and when it was converted into the diner, the original owner opted to retain a lot of those elements. There’s still the lingering smell of grease here, a little like my grandfather’s garage used to have, except somehow this is a little less daunting than stepping foot in there!

SMALL TOWN, BIG SURPRISE! Whether you are staying at the magical Tsitsikamma Village Inn for a night or three, or if you happen to be making a stop along your way down the Garden Route, Shake, Rattle and Roll at the retro Marilyns 60s Diner!

Proudly sporting the all American Burger and cold milkshakes, the diner invites you to a throwback of a dining experience altogether. Enjoy jukebox classics and take snaps of the stunning classic cars and bike collection, celebrating the sensational ‘60s era of none other than Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.

Our diner is a wonderful venue for all occassions, be it birthday parties or a team building conference, we offer great food and a jukebox to keep the atmosphere going. We have a number of props our guests are welcome to have fun with, and we put 101% into making the theme of the diner come alive for all functions and events.

Opening Hours:

Monday – Sunday: 10:00am – 9:00pm

The diner’s menu is classic American. Burgers take centre stage here, but stacks of pancakes and ice-cream sundaes make themselves known as they drift across the restaurant to patrons. Portions are big, prices are fair and everything was absolutely delicious. Even the menu is a wealth of historical Elvis and Marilyn knowledge with little FYIs sown in between the food options!
